Paige Bradley created one of the most striking sculptures I’ve seen in recent times. Her masterpiece, entitled Expansion, is a beautiful woman seeking inner piece but fractured and bleeding with light.
“From the moment we are born, the world tends to have a container already built for us to fit inside: a social security number, a gender, a race, a profession,” says Bradley. “I ponder if we are more defined by the container we are in than what we are inside. Would we recognize ourselves if we could expand beyond our bodies?”

I feel blessed by friendship. Not only am I surrounded by INCREDIBLE groups of humans who make me laugh, are always there for me, and love to eat my cooking…. but they inspire and nourish me and my artist self, and are constantly causing me to want to take “it” further (no matter what “it” may be.)
One of my greatest heroines of creation is Kassia Meador. More widely know in her earlier years for being one of the best longboard surfers on the planet, Kassia is now receiving HUGE accolades in the photography/fashion/art world.
What inspires me most about Kassia’s art, is that she has found HER voice… she makes things that she finds beautiful, and she doesn’t judge or limit her mediums of expression.
I LOVE this video interview of Kassia, and how she explains her relationship to creation. We all have a unique voice to reflect the world back to one another, and I am so grateful to all who share their visions so courageously.
